Madrid and the World Heritage Cities of Spain present their tourist and cultural offer

Tourism of the Madrid City Council and the Group of World Heritage Cities of Spain (GCPHE), an entity that brings together the 15 cities inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, have jointly presented the novelties of their offer tourist and cultural in two meetings held in Valencia and Alicante.

The presentation of these developments is part of the collaboration agreement between both institutions, which has been renewed this 2018 for the tenth consecutive year and whose objective is to promote, both nationally and internationally, the city of Madrid and the 15 heritage cities of Humanity of Spain (Alcalá de Henares, Ávila, Baeza, Cáceres, Córdoba, Cuenca, Ibiza, Mérida, Salamanca, San Cristóbal de La Laguna, Santiago de Compostela, Segovia, Tarragona, Toledo and Úbeda), highlighting the most emblematic elements and unique to each of these cities, such as architecture, gastronomy, cultural heritage and the offer for meeting tourism.

The events have counted with the presence and interventions of the director of the Turismo Valencia Foundation, Antonio Bernabé; of the Mayor of Cuenca and Vice President of the Heritage Cities Group, Ángel Mariscal; from the director of Travel Trade and Connectivity of Madrid Destino, Sabine Schwanz, and the market manager of Madrid Destino, Chelo Sánchez. The councilors of Tourism of Alcalá de Henares, Ávila, Cuenca, Salamanca, Segovia, Tarragona or Toledo have also participated in this initiative.
