Descripción:

The Pacífico Power Plant was built to support and improve the city’s Metro network, and to respond to possible power shortages. This plant generated its own energy by transforming electrical power supplied by companies, using three 1500 c.v. diesel engines that were bought in Germany. It also supplied power to the other Metro substations, to the city itself and, in 1925, to electricity companies. Furthermore, during the Civil War, it supplied electricity for domestic use by the citizens of Madrid.
