Barceló Market, located in the neighbourhood of Chueca, opened in 1956 and is considered to have been Spain’s first supermarket. After extensive remodelling works, it has become a key food shopping destination. Its 100 stalls are spread across 3 floors, and feature modern amenities that ensure the quality of the products sold. In visual terms, the design integrates traditional market facilities with facilities meant for other purposes, such as a gym, a library and car parks. On the top floor you’ll find the restaurant Azotea Forus Barceló.
