The Madrid office of Casa Árabe is located in a Neo-Mudéjar building erected in 1886 on Calle Alcalá next to the north entrance of El Retiro. Until the late 19th century it housed the old Aguirre Schools. It plays host to exhibitions, conferences and courses related to Arab and Spanish culture with the aim of strengthening and consolidating multifaceted relations with Arab and Islamic countries.
