The top of one of Casa de las Bolas’ turrets
Casa de las Bolas, located at no. 145 in Calle Alcalá, is a building consisting of various blocks of flats designed by Julián Marín, a Modernist architect who also designed, among other projects, the Madrid Moderno housing development. The Neo-Mudéjar construction, built on a triangular lot, stands out for its two turrets decorated with various motifs, including the embedded silver balls that give it its name (“House of Balls”).
