Interior of Casa Mingo
First opened in 1888, Casa Mingo claims to be Madrid’s oldest cider house. Located in what was a former train depot on Paseo de la Florida, this century-old restaurant with traditional wooden furniture, cider barrels and bottles, is spread over two floors. It also boasts two large outdoor eating areas by the San Antonio de la Florida Chapel. Serving reasonably priced tapas and raciones (dishes to share), the bar’s specialties include roast chicken, chorizo cooked in cider and, of course, its traditionally made craft ciders prepared on site.
