Table with two cups of hot chocolate, a plate with a helping of churros and another with a helping of porras on the terrace of the Chocolatería San Ginés. In the background a literary mural dedicated to Valle-Inclán and Pérez Galdós.
San Ginés chocolate café, near Puerta del Sol in one of Madrid's oldest alleyways, started trading in 1894, making it one of the oldest cafés of its kind in the city. The attractive wood interior, harking back to late 19th century cafés, has been a meeting place for all kinds of people, including intellectuals and many artists.
