Filmoteca Española is a film archive housed in the Palace of the Marquis of Perales, a Baroque-style building in the neighbourhood of Lavapiés constructed in 1732 by Pedro de Ribera. Its mission is to recover, research and preserve the country’s film heritage, in addition to promoting awareness of it.
