Descripción:
At some time or another, Andrés Segovia, Francisco Tárrega, Narciso Yepes, Paco de Lucía and even George Harrison, Eric Clapton and Mark Knopfler all strummed the strings of guitars from this workshop, which has been making them by hand in Madrid since 1882. It was founded by José Ramírez, who learnt the trade at the age of 12 under Francisco González, whose workshop was in Carrera de San Jerónimo. Later on, he set up his own stall in El Rastro flea market. He then moved to Calle de Concepción Jerónima, opening an establishment very close to the current shop, which is also a museum.
