Calle Arenal is home to San Ginés Church, which is devoted to the French saint Genesius of Arles. Built in 1645, the church is one of the oldest in Madrid. San Ginés Church has a rich artistic heritage and houses El Greco's outstanding work The Purification of the Temple.
