Plaza de Isabel II, commonly known as Plaza de Ópera, is found in Barrio de los Austrias (Hapsburg Madrid). It’s a lively square with several places of interest such as Teatro Real opera house on its western side, Caños del Peral Museum, which is accessible via either of the square’s two metro station entrances, and a sculpture honouring Queen Isabella II in its centre. It also has multiple restaurants and cafés and recently welcomed the arrival of Ocean Drive Madrid, a new four-star hotel.
