The “Saint Mary Immaculate, Mother of the Church” procession by the brotherhood of Los Estudiantes, making its way down Calle Mayor.
At Easter, the delicate figures housed for the rest of the year in different churches and basilicas are adorned with numerous candles, flowers and richly embroidered blankets before being paraded through the streets in processions through such representative places as Paseo del Prado, Calle Alcalá and Plaza Mayor. Carried by porters from the city's various brotherhoods, they are accompanied by dozens of Nazarenes along the way.
