Madrid boasts numerous festivities that liven up its streets, but few of them spread their cheer to as many parts of the city as the arrival of Christmas. The celebration begins at the end of November, with the switching on of the Christmas lights created by some of Spain's finest designers and the city is filled with a magical air. And, of course, there are the traditional Christmas trees scattered throughout the city’s various districts.
