Great prayer room of the Central Mosque of Madrid.
Located in the Tetuán neighbourhood, this was the first Islamic centre to be built in the capital. Inaugurated in 1988, it was built thanks to the donations of the faithful, and it was named the Abu-Bakr Mosque (in homage to the first caliph of Islam after the death of Mohammed). It is popularly known however as the Central Mosque of Madrid.
